How to get your pet's medical records from VCA

VCA runs over a thousand hospitals, and records are handled by the hospital you visited. Here's the fastest route depending on what you need.

Updated October 2026

Quick answer

For vaccine records, open the myVCA app. For a full medical history or to send records to a new vet, contact the VCA hospital you visited — or use VCA's online contact form or call 1-800-VCA-PETS.

Option 1: the myVCA app

VCA's myVCA app (iPhone and Android) gives access to your pet's vaccine records, care instructions, test results and prescription refills, plus 24/7 live chat. Sign in with the email on file at your VCA hospital.

Option 2: request records from VCA

Contact your local VCA hospital

Each VCA hospital handles its own records requests, and many have a medical records release form. This is the quickest route for a full history or to send records to a new vet.

Or use VCA's contact form

On vcahospitals.com/contact-us, choose the record type (medical records, vaccination history, lab results).

Or call VCA

1-800-VCA-PETS (as listed on vcahospitals.com, Oct 2026).

Keep a copy that doesn't depend on any one clinic: add your VCA records to PetTally and they're on your phone wherever you go.
